7th and 8th graders taking High School Classes

7th and 8th grade students can enroll in World Language and Math classes in HSVA. These classes are a-g high school classes and will be on the high school transcript.

Master Agreement

The high school class needs to be added to the student's Master Agreement.

High School Math

Students enrolling in Algebra I should take the Algebra I readiness test with their HST. HSTs can reach out to Claire Walker for the test. The test can be taken before or after registration. Click here for more information on the readiness test.

Transcript

The high school course will be added to the student's high school transcript. Algebra I will fulfill the Algebra graduation requirement. Students are still required to take 2 years of math in grades 9-12. World Language classes will fulfill the a-g language requirement but will be added as a high school elective on the transcript.
