Electives
SGCA Virtual Academy offers high school a-g electives that are build around existing programs and competitions.
Military Science
Military Science is an a-g elective class that meets virtually 2 days per week and in-person one day per month. Students are enrolled in the California Cadet Corps and participate in state-wide events and competitions that develop leadership, citizenship, patriotism, promote academic excellence, encourage personal health and wellness, and teach basic military subjects.

Military Science is open to 7-12th graders.
ABOUT US
Forestry
Forestry is a 1 semester a-g elective course that prepares students for the El Dorado Leoni Meadows Forestry Challenge on October 25-29, 2023. The challenge is a free 4-day event for students where they learn about the local forest, participate in competitions, and experience hands-on learning in outdoor recreation.

Forestry is open to 9-12th graders.
